Project Description:
To prepare a grassland assessment of fire regime condition and other ecological analyses for BLM lands in New Mexico in support of BLM Standards and Guidelines and the statewide Fire Management Plan using NRCS ecological sites as a primary framework for assessing condition.

This project covers more than one ecoregion. The project will initially be focused in the Apache Highlands, Chihuahuan Desert, Arizona-New Mexico Mountains, Southern Shortgrass Prairie ecoregions but could ptoentially expand to cover the entire state of NM including the Colorado Plateau, Central Shortgrass Prairie and Southern Rocky Mountain ecoregions.
