What's the difference between "Conservation Project Search" and "Full-text Search?"
Full-text Search (the default search option) searches for the word or phrase you specify anywhere in the project documentation. If you searched for "Alaska" in the full-text search, it would return the projects in which the OU is Alaska, as well as projects that had targets that contained "This target migrates to summer breeding grounds in Alaska" in the Target Description. Full-text Search also searches through the contents of other documents uploaded to ConPro (such as a pdf report associated with a project). Full-text search is recommended for searches that don't fit the fields in Conservation Project Search, when you want to search uploaded documents, or when you want as many results as possible.
Advanced Search searches for projects that have the value you specify in a particular field or fields. For instance, if you select "Alaska" from the OU dropdown, it will search for projects in which the OU, or one of the OUs, is Alaska. This is generally the best way to find a project if what you're looking for is in one of the fields listed on this page (such as searching for a specific threat, strategy, target, or geography).
